Thanks to all for your support this year for The Cove Fish Fry, have a fantastic New Years night, Less the Harp will be playing at the Mangawhai Tavern tonight, Waipu Caledonian Games tommorow and the Ocean Beach Boardriders 'Summer Sessions' surf comp is on the 7th of January at OB's, get ya grommies in the water, see you next year, Mike C.

Saturday was the day for the Third Annual Loggerheads Comp at Waipu Cove, usually at Mangawhai but conditions dictated a change of venue, this longboarding event is a 'tip of the hat' to the traditional style of logging, pure, fun and no leggie!, put together by local surfing legend Tony Baker, more images soon, Mike C.

Logger Heads 3 surf comp is locked in for the 12th of March at Mangawhai Heads, it will be another great event and it is the day before the Third Annual Cove Fish Fry, YEWZA, Mike C.

Caught up with Tony Baker, Nubby and Tom from The Mangawhai Surf Dojo before another Far North adventure, Tony puts his heart and soul into surfing and is super keen to share his knowledge with the next generation of groms, heard they scored some pretty epic waves, well done boys, Mike C.

I caught up with Lemuria Surfboard's Craig Freeman at Waipu Cove yesterday with a selection of his wooden boards, based in Mangawhai, Northland NZ Craig is making a wide array of shapes and species of wavecrafts, some very nice work indeed, Mike C.
