Happy New Year

Thanks to all for your support this year for The Cove Fish Fry, have a fantastic New Years night, Less the Harp will be playing at the Mangawhai Tavern tonight, Waipu Caledonian Games tommorow and the Ocean Beach Boardriders 'Summer Sessions' surf comp is on the 7th of January at OB's, get ya grommies in the water, see you next year, Mike C.

the area

The Waipu Area is so beautiful, steeped with history and packed with really nice local people, The Cove itself is the perfect venue for the 2014 Cove Fish Fry, loads of parking, a huge green space to display boards which overlooks The Cove itself, you can get a wave on almost any given day and hopefully the 9th of March is no exception, support for the event has been flooding in, should be a fun day, Mike C.

The Cove Fish Fry is a gathering of positive and like-minded surfers and shapers sharing a day at the beach. The original format of the Fish Fry was based around the Fish surfboard but as the event has evolved and spread throughout the world it has become open to all forms of surfcraft, Fish, Logs, Hulls, Alaias, Handplanes, Mats, the list goes on. The Cove Fish Fry is a non-competitive and non-commercial event and will be held at Waipu Cove, Northland, NZ, save the date, March 2024 (date TBC) for the 9th Annual Cove Fish Fry, cheers Mike C.
