Wooden Boards Day 2016

Just had word in from Grant Newby on the Gold Coast of Australia about another super successful Wooden Boards Day at Currumbin AU, I would have loved to have been there this Sunday gone, I have been lucky enough to attend one in 2011 and been to many Alley Fish Frys which are also organised by Grant, well done mate, Mike C.

take a break

Jamie Gallant has been a busy boy, working away on a new series of Handplanes under the brand 'Smoko' which is a tip of the hat to the traditional Kiwi break, vacuum bagged over a foam core these Handplanes are strong and extremely lite not to mention beautiful, adjustable straps and branded with an iron, very cool, Mike C.

good adventures

I met up with Jamie Gallant from Adventure for Good at Sandy Bay yesterday to test drive some of his handplanes and paipos, we were lucky and scored some waist high peelers for around an hour or so just after low tide, Mike C.
