ride anything

Robbo found himself an Ashley Kneeboard and with a few modifications with the help of Mike Koosman from Tutukaka he now has a small wave destroyer. the original Steve Lis Fish was a kneeboard and changed the face of surfing for ever, nice work Robbo and it was nice to see Taj patiently waiting for his master to return from the sea, Mike C.

summer traffic

It has been a busy wee summer on the East Coast of NZ with beaches filled with holiday makers, things are starting to settle down now with locals returning to the waves and there is a good swell running set for the next week, I will be getting back into more interviews and photos of quivers shortly, posters for TCFF 2016 will be in stores soon and a new batch of stickers not far away, enjoy the swell, Mike C.

thinking out loud

Small adventures can sometimes have the biggest impact, I tripped out to one my local spots, 'Sandy Bay' and had an average surf with mostly close-outs and did not see any of the usual suspects, while floating around I felt kinda sad but soon after leaving the water I was surrounded by surf mates that were also on the search, it made me think about what surfing really means to me and how many great friends surfing has brought into my life, just thinking out loud really, have a great week, Mike C.
