on ya mat
Well done once again Lee, you are one clever lady, Lee has been at it again making surfcrafts, this time a surfmat. Lee has done all the research and sourced the materials and made an inflatable surfmat, so impressed, Mike C.

Biggie Smalls
Had a super fun surf session at The Cove with Lee on Sunday, it was a case of extreme opposites when it came to our choice of wavecrafts, Lee had her freshly handmade Star Wars inspired 4' Something Foam Paipo she has lovingly crafted over the last few months and I was on my 12' Glider made by the team at Surfline Custom Surfboards, followed closely by hot chips and a fish burger from The Cove Cafe, living the dream at The Bream, good friends, good food and waves a plenty, Mike C.

fushy
It was nice to meet Cian at Sandy Bay and talk to him about his homemade Fish, such a cool little board, hopefully we will see him and a few of his boards at TCFF in March 2019, Mike C.

clever daddy
It was awesome to catch up with Maddy, Ben and their beautiful daughter Ella at The Cove over the weekend, Ben has made a few boards, this is his latest creation, a resintinted gloss polished Roundtail 2+1, Ben made the fins as well and has put a 'lighthouse' decal on it to represent some of his family connections, cool board and lovely family, Mike C.

film studies
You may have noticed already but all the images on TCFF blog are on 35mm film, this has always been a passion of mine and documenting the Northland surf culture looks great on film, I hope you all enjoy the blog and I also hope it keeps the stoke alive in between the FRYS, Mike C.

glide time
I managed to squeeze in a surf on my new 12' Glider before this year's TCFF, man what a beast, lots to learn about this board but had such a fun surf, lots of waves with some amazing amounts of trim and glide, stoked, Mike C.

wood and waves
Lemuria Surfboards aka Craig Freeman of Mangawhai held a two day workshop this weekend for kids to make wooden surfcraft, fully booked out and a tonne of fun, the results are fantastic and the kids are frothing, looking forward to seeing Craig and some of the kids at TCFF 2016, only two weeks to go!, Craig is wanting to run another one of these workshop again soon, Mike C.
