gallant adventure

I was very lucky to be introduced to Jamie Gallant from Adventure for Good NZ yesterday, Jamie is making handplanes in Kerikeri, Northland NZ in a collab with a local guitar maker, he is also the Media and Marketing Manager for Adventure for Good NZ a charitable trust which is hoping to work with kids to help them fulfill their dreams of adventure, more on Jamie and A.F.G soon, Mike C.

body shooter

I am a sucker for a good bodysurf session and so when I heard about a limited run of 'Body Shooters' by Roger Hall at Surfline Surfboards I got very excited, Roger and Jay are building some solid Redwood classic NZ style body boards, keep ya eyes peeled for these when they are ready, Mike C.

dolphin princess

Ruakaka local Emma 'Dolphin Princess' Cox is a true waterman (woman), a really lovely lady with a great approach to riding waves, she will be attending The 2014 Cove Fish Fry with an array of surfing equipment, from Hot Curls to Handplanes, if you want to know anything about handplanes and bodysurfing she is the one to see, Mike C.

The Cove Fish Fry is a gathering of positive and like-minded surfers and shapers sharing a day at the beach. The original format of the Fish Fry was based around the Fish surfboard but as the event has evolved and spread throughout the world it has become open to all forms of surfcraft, Fish, Logs, Hulls, Alaias, Handplanes, Mats, the list goes on. The Cove Fish Fry is a non-competitive and non-commercial event and will be held at Waipu Cove, Northland, NZ, save the date, March 2024 (date TBC) for the 9th Annual Cove Fish Fry, cheers Mike C.
