The Dune Restoration project by the WDC is well underway at Sandy Bay, large logs have been placed on the beach and covered with sand, so far the river at the northern end of the beach which was redirected at the start of the project has already gone back to where it was before, the sand build up from this project may have a massive impact on the surf quality, leaving it potentially angled too step like Woolley's Bay and Matapouri, Mike C.
