The second annual Cove Fish Fry is set down for the 8th of March 2015 at Waipu Cove, Northland NZ.
This is my second 'open letter', an invite to one and all to attend the event, with many people already set to come along on the day I thought it would still be a good idea to explain what a 'Fish Fry' is and how it works.
A 'Fish Fry' is a gathering of surfers, shapers and enthusiasts that meet at the beach once a year and celebrate the 'Fish' surfboard, over time the event has evolved and now includes all sorts of surf crafts directly or indirectly influenced by the 'Fish' plus is a great excuse to get together and share stories, ideas, contacts and waves (if there are any).
After last year's success it could be a big turn out this year and Waipu Cove is the perfect venue with loads of parking and large grass area to display boards which over looks the beautiful Bream Bay.
Don't be shy about bringing your boards with you, the more weird and wacky the better, also please let others know about the event and get them to come along and share the day, with guests from overseas and nationally all booked in to attend it should be an interesting and fun day.
Bring ya lunch and the kids, sunscreen and your Quiver, see you there, I can't wait, Mike C.
